Best Times to Perform Umrah


Umrah is free from the dependable time of performing while it is performed at any time except for Hajj days. We say it is free because Hajj is dependable on 5 days of the last Islamic month (Dhul Hijjah). Before diving in details of what are the best times to perform Umrah, we should clear in our minds that it is a wish of every Muslim to visit this place where our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) spent his life to preaching the people.

 Let us start it.

 According to some causes I have to choose 4 occasions or times to perform Umrah.

1. Christmas

 2. Easter

 3. Ramadan

 4. Hajj

Christmas:

Christmas is a Christian religious event and Muslims should not celebrate this as Christians celebrate it while Muslims should also spend this day by offering extra prayers and prays. Always this event comes in December and it is considered a peak winter month all around the world especially in Western, European, etc. countries. Muslims can easily perform their Umrah without facing extremeness of the winter season in Saudi Arabia.



Easter:

It is another Christian event that often comes between March and April. But this time it is coming in April. Most of the people think that Christian follow the Gregorian calendar then why its date varies. For information on such people that it comes according to the lunar calendar.

It is another chance for Muslims to perform Umrah easily by getting Easter Umrah Package from any reliable travel agency.


Ramadan:

It is peak season to earn more and rewards because everyone performs his/her Umrah in Ramadan because it is proved by Hadiths that performing Umrah in Ramadan is equal to performing Hajj in terms of rewards. Hajj:

During Hajj days, nobody is allowed to perform Umrah but before starting rituals of Hajj it is permissible and after. Therefore an individual can perform Umrah along Hajj but between Hajj is not.

There are three types of Hajj:

  • Hajj al Ifrad
  • Hajj al Qiran
  • Hajj al Tamattu
Except for Hajj al Ifrad, you can perform Umrah along Hajj.

Note: The last date of Hajj Visa applying ends at 20 days before the starting of Hajj month.

    Masha Allah, I remember when I was there for hajj. When you’re there all your worldly cares are gone. You live in that moment. Your mind is at rest and your heart is at peace. Nearly 2 million pilgrims performed Umrah since the start of Ramadan

  Riyadh : Close to 2 million Muslims from around the world have performed Umrah at the Grand Mosque in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Saudi Arabia since the start of the holy month of Ramadan on April 2, 2022, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. “Since the beginning of the first day of the holy month of Ramadan until the tenth day of Ramadan, nearly two million pilgrims have bought Ramadan Umrah Packages and were delegated to the Grand Mosque in line with the precautionary measures,” Osama bin Mansour, the deputy head of the Presidency General for Affairs of the two holy Mosques for congregation management said. Osama bin Mansour pointed out that integrated services are provided at the Grand Mosque to suit the needs of pilgrims and worshipers including designating tracks for the elderly and physically disabled people. “The Presidency General has devoted its full capacity to serve the Umrah pilgrims during the holy month of Ramadan and fully designated the courtyard [around the holy Kabba]
