Most Beautiful Places to visit in Makkah


Makkah is a very Holy city according to Muslims because Million of Muslims perform Umrah and Hajj in the city of Makkah and it is a birthplace of last Messenger (Peace Be Upon Him) of Allah. There are the most important places for visitors. Non-Muslim cannot perform Umrah and Hajj because these are Islamic rituals.

The city of Makkah is located at a height of 277m (909 feet) above sea level. It is a city in Saudi Arabia. Most of the visitors to this city are Muslims. Hajj is performed in five days of last month of Islamic Lunar Calendar, while Umrah can be performed at any time of year except for five days of Hajj. The number of visitors is in millions or billions every year. Alcohol, pork, and etc. are banned there because it is forbidden by the Holy Quran and Islamic Law.

Nowadays, it is not difficult for visitors to visit Makkah. Muslims can go to Makkah with the intentions of performing Umrah and Hajj as it possible for them. Travel agencies provide many packages to their customers, as if they want to perform Umrah then they should get Umrah Packages All Inclusive and if they want to perform Hajj then they should get Hajj Packages.

There are some important things in the city of Makkah:

Al-Haram Mosque:



It is a holy and great mosque in the world and it can accommodate up to 4 million people. This mosque covers the area of 400,800 square meters (99 acres). Muslims perform their Umrah and Hajj in this mosque. Kaaba is called the House of Allah which is surrounded by this mosque. In this mosque, Muslims get many rewards which they cannot get in the other mosques of the world. There is a Black stone which is fitted in the wall of Kaaba.

All Muslims offer their Salahs in the direction of Kaaba. There is a Maqam e Ibrahim place. There is a stone in this place which was used during the construction of Kaaba in the time of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS). Both stones have come from paradise, therefore, these are holy stones in the world. A well of Zamzam water is also in this mosque.

It is very pure and holy water in this world. During the Umrah and Hajj, Muslims perform the Tawaf around the Kaaba and the act of Tawaf is started from the point of Hajre Aswad. After the Tawaf, Muslims offer two rakats in front of Maqam e Ibrahim. Non-Muslims cannot enter this mosque.

Abraj Al Bait:


It is known as the Fairmont Makkah Clock Tower. The building is counted in the list of tallest buildings of the world and its height is 601 m (1972 feet). This building of tower has 4 faced clocks which are visible from 25 km away. This building has 120 floors and 1542 residences and guest room’s suites, 56 elevators, restaurants and etc. This lavish hotel combines sumptuous design with the warm tradition of real Arab hospitality.

Cave of Hira:


It is a very sacred cave in Islam because in this cave, the first time the verses of the Holy Quran was revealed on last Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). It is located at the top of Jabal Al Noor mount and this mountain is known as “The Mountain of Light” or “Hill of illumination”. Muslims offer nafals there when they visit it during the journey of Umrah or Hajj.

Al-Taneem Mosque:


It is a mosque which is known as the name of Ayesha Mosque. It is situated in the south of Makkah at a distance of 4.6 miles. It is the closest point of Miqat from Makkah where pilgrims can wear their Ihams. At this place, the wife of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) Hazrat Ayesha (RA) wore Ihram.

Mina:


It is a valley for staying the Pilgrims during the days of Hajj. Pilgrims pass their time in the tents. It is also called the city of tents. There is not allowed for men and women to sleep together. It is located five km to the east of the Makkah. Approximately total number of tents are 100,000.

Birthplace of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):


It is a place where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born. Nowadays, this place has been converted into a National Library of Makkah. Visitor can get there most important books about Islam and thereby he/she can more understand and knowledge about Islam.

Jannatul Maula:


It is a great holy cemetery because there are several graves of pious humans, in which mother of believers Hazrat Khadija (RA)- first wife of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Hazrat Qasim (RA)-son of Muhammad (PBUH), Asma Bint AbuBaker, Abu Talib- Uncle of Muhammad (PBUH), Abdullah Bin Zubair, and other members of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s family are included. This cemetery is situated at ten minutes walking distance from Al-Haram Mosque.

Safa and Marwah:


These are two mounts which are located in the area of Al-Haram Mosque. Muslims run between the mounts of Safa and Marwah during the Umrah and Hajj. If they don’t perform this part then their Umrah and Hajj are not acceptable. Safa and Marwah are situated approximately 100 m and 350 m from the Kaaba respectively. The total distance between the Safa and Marwah is 450 m.

May Allah give us at least one chance to perform Umrah and Hajj. Everyone who visits the Makkah due to any reason then he/she will visit these sites because these places are counted in the list of the Ziyarah's places and all this is inclusive in Cheap Umrah Package and Cheap Hajj Package.
